Terry Boyle WKC Presidential Board member and Chairman of Karate Northern Ireland today announced the 2016 Northern Ireland Open Karate Championships will be held on Sunday 24th April 2016 in the Queens University Physical Education Centre, BELFAST. N Ireland.

Karate Northern Ireland is by far the biggest governing federation in N Ireland and has members affiliated to WKC, IKU, WUKF, ESKA, KUGB etc. It runs the biggest events in the country and they are sponsored by Belfast City Council and supported by UK & Ireland hotel group Clayton Hotels.  Its events attract competitors from Rep of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.

The event uses the Rules of WKC which are widely known and everyone is welcome to participate in the event irrespective of style or affiliation.
